ABOUT

Abbie Lula is a 21-year-old session drummer from Australia, who from 2023 to 2024 toured internationally with 80s new wave band, Pseudo Echo. Since becoming a touring drummer at 19-years-old, Abbie has performed for crowds over 15,000, supporting iconic international acts Simple Minds, Texas, and Collective Soul.

At 13-years-old, Abbie’s drumming journey began, and her passion grew rapidly - joining numerous bands and performing in pubs from 15-years-old. In 2020 she began posting drum covers, gaining over 190k followers across platforms. Through her online presence, she has caught the attention of legendary musicians including John Densmore (The Doors), Jonathan Moffet (Michael Jackson), Mike Dirnt (Green Day), Motörhead, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Iron Maiden.

Being awarded The Griffith Award for Academic Excellency for her Bachelor of Music, specialising in jazz drums at the Queensland Conservatorium, and twice awarded the R.T. and A.E. Jefferies Bursary, Abbie strives to explore diverse musical paths. Therefore, while touring internationally, she was completing her tertiary education and continuing creative passion projects.

Abbie drummed in six musical productions from 2022-2024, situated at Queensland Performing Arts Centre, and continues to drum for various artists including ‘Lucy Francesca Dron’, ‘Georgie Neilsen’, ‘Ballyclaire’, and ‘Pipin’ – touring, recording albums, and composing. Last year, Abbie performed in 67 national shows across 7 states, in diverse venues, amphitheatres, and festivals - including Greenstone Entertainment’s Summer Concert Tour, Airlie Beach Music Festival, and Woodford Folk Festival.

Since finishing tour with Pseudo Echo, Abbie is looking forward to a future of touring internationally and connecting with people worldwide through music.
